I’m here tonight to tell you how busy I was in these last weeks and I believe that I’ll be very busy at December too, because I’m writing, writing and writing about a very interesting theme: the posthumous use of the Classic Hollywood stars in advertisements, which is the theme of my monograph that I’m finishing.
But I’ve already talked about this theme here in the blog last year and I showed some examples of this kind of advertising (you can read this post here, but unfortunately some of the videos have expired). And, even this theme looks like some new, it isn’t! This week I’m reading an article about it at The New York Times dated of 1994.
When I take time I will write more about this here and translate some of my texts (cause like I said once, I write them in Portuguese!). But for now I’m curious to know what do you think about the use of these memorable artists of the classic cinema in the current advertising to sell products, reminding that the rights to use the images are bought by advertisers.
